Freeman Hall Design creates custom interiors that reflect each client’s individual style and are at once sophisticated and functional. Judy has developed trusted relationships with artisans, tradespeople and manufacturers alike. This translates into a collaborative and service-orientated relationship with her clients throughout an entire project. FHD loves to deliver a fresh, stylish, and livable space that her clients can enjoy.
Before stepping into the design industry, Judy worked on Wall Street, a place where she sharpened her business acumen and budget sensibility. Wishing to cultivate her interest in the creative, Judy joined her father’s firm, Remington Freeman, New York City’s premier source for home furnishings and decorative accessories to the trade. Here, she refined her design skills and deepened her product knowledge which led her to open her own interior design firm. Freeman Hall Design takes its name from two inspirational people in Judy’s life: her father, Ed Freeman, and her late friend and mentor, Molly Hall, who encouraged Judy to follow her passion.
When her head is not buried in trade magazines, Judy can be found with family and friends. A favorite place to be is at the beach where Judy loves taking a morning run along the shoreline or completing a puzzle on a rainy day.
Our Design Philosophy
Freeman Hall Design infuses expertise, practicality, and personality into each project. We believe in creatively mixing the old with new -- the past with the present -- to achieve a personal and unique space for our clients. With this philosophy in mind, we draw inspiration from our clients’ art collections, family heirlooms, favorite travel locales, and so on, incorporating relevant components into the overall design. With years of experience in the industry, we have developed a discerning rolodex of resources, from artisans and craftspeople to the finest of textile and casegood manufacturers. At FHD, we are fluent in a variety of design styles and a range of aesthetics. Our goal is to provide top-notch service to our clientele, while working efficiently and being mindful of the project budget. Ultimately, we deliver the highest level of expertise as we create sophisticated spaces that evoke a sense of style, functionality, and comfort.
